'The Meltdown' 2006 (Horseradish Topped Burgers with APETINA Cubes)

Makes 4

Materials

  • 1 x 200g pack APETINA Cubes
  • 1 medium red onion, diced
  • 500g good quality minced steak
  • 1 egg
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. creamed horseradish

Method

Make the burgers by combining the beef and diced onion with black pepper and sufficient beaten egg to bind. With a dusting of flour on your hands, form into 4 burger shapes.

Grill burgers under a high heat until cooked to your liking, meanwhile combine the creamed horseradish with approximately half the cheese from the APETINA Cubes pack.

Once burgers are cooked, pile the cheese and horseradish mixture on top of each burger and return to grill to just lightly brown the cheese. Serve immediately.
